Wood Product Disclaimer
The color, texture, and characteristics of the wood used to build a particular product will vary slightly from the wood used in any samples or product photography due to the natural characteristics of the material. There will be variation, including knots, texture and grain and color. We cannot control or guarantee the exact look of any board or product. In turn, no representation, warranty and/or guarantee is made with respect to the precise color, luster or appearance of finishes of any product. All of our products are completely hand made, and we make no representation or guarantee that any product will appear exactly as any another. Each piece will be unique.

Delivery and Shipping
We handcraft each product with care in our shop in San Diego, California. Please allow between 10 and 12 weeks for production and processing of your order. When inventory is readily available, orders will be processed in 2-3 days. Once your order has been fulfilled, you will receive a confirmation email. If you have any questions prior to, please reach out to jlschroeder@yahoo.com with your name and order number.

All shippable products are sent directly from our shop. Delivery can take between 5-10 business days depending on your location and the shipping method chosen at checkout.

Damages
We carefully inspect each piece before it leaves our facility for any imperfections or damage. Please inspect each piece immediately upon delivery and notify us within 48 hours regarding any issues. JL Schroeder Woodworking is not liable for damage incurred during shipping and delivery, but we may be able to help you file a claim with the shipping provider.

Return Policy
Due to the nature of our product, we are unable to accept returns or issue exchanges unless the product is deemed defective upon arrival. We do not offer returns or exchanges on discounted or custom items. All discounted and custom orders are final sale, including all range hoods and furniture.

Refunds and Exchanges
We are happy to offer an exchange or refund for products deemed defective. To process an exchange or a refund for a defective item, please send us an email  with your name, order number and a description or photo of the defect or damage.
Once the defective item has been received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your defective item at our shop along with the status of your refund or exchange within 5 days of receiving the item(s).
If your refund is approved, your refund will be processed and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment within 5 business days.

How to Return a Defective Item
To return a defective product for refund or exchange, please send us an email to jlschroeder@yahoo.com with your name, order number and a description of the defect or damage. We ask that you provide photos of the defects in question in order for your refund or exchange to be processed.

If you are shipping an item over $75, please consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. JL Schroeder Woodworking is not liable if your return shipment is lost or stolen before it reaches our facility and we will be unable to issue a refund.
Once the defective item has been received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your defective item at our warehouse along with the status of your refund or exchange within 5 days of receiving the item(s).
In the case of an exchange, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you will vary depending on location. 

Non-Refundable Deposit Policy

To reserve your order, a non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total order amount is required at the time of purchase. This deposit ensures that your order is secured and will be applied to your final invoice.

  • The deposit is non-refundable, meaning that it cannot be returned once paid, regardless of any changes or cancellations made by the customer.
  • The remaining balance is due before delivery or completion of your order. Payment instructions will be provided at that time.
  • By placing an order, you acknowledge and agree to this deposit policy.
